White tea is one of the six major tea categories in China. It belongs to non fermented or lightly fermented tea. The traditional white tea does not need to be rubbed, and the new craft white tea needs to be properly rubbed. Drying methods such as sun drying or slow fire drying are adopted. White tea has the quality characteristics of dry tea color, white and green, no fragrance, sweet and refreshing taste, bright and clear soup color and apricot yellow. It has the saying of "one year of tea, three years of medicine and seven years of treasure". White tea, especially Shoumei, has a higher value the longer it is stored.
